This section is designed to help you find the information you want as quickly as possible, without necessarily having to submit an FOI request.
It could take up to 20 working days to receive a response to your freedom of information (FOI) request, so why not find out if we've already published the information you need by following these easy steps:
1. Check out frequently asked FOI responses
Use the links above to check out responses we have given to frequently asked FOIs. Also visit our open data website, where we publish a variety of data sets.
It's worth noting that if you submit a request for information that is listed on our FOI pages, we will simply send you a link to the relevant webpage on our website (up to 20 days later), so it’s well worth taking a look first.
Equally where we publish data on a stated interval basis (e.g. monthly or six monthly etc), we do not provide interim updates.
2. Check out what we can’t provide
Every year we receive hundreds of FOIs we can’t answer - this includes FOIs about cyber security, our business rates credit balance and services provided by other councils.
We also cannot release personal or commercially sensitive information, or information that could jeopardise the health, safety or security of the council, its employees, systems, services or property.
3. Can't find what you are looking for
If the information you need is not published in this section, make a freedom of information request.
