Supported housing for young people (aged 16+)

YMCA Rugeley Foyer provide supported housing that assists young people aged 16 to 25 on their journey from homelessness to independent living.

YMCA Rugeley has 26 self-contained flats. Each resident has their own kitchen, bathroom, living room and single bedroom.

They include essential furnishings which include: a cooker and hob, a fridge, a sofa, a single bed and mattress with bed linen and a built-in wardrobe.

All flats are carpeted with curtains or blinds fitted to  windows. There are also shared laundry facilities on site.

There are a number of shared facilities including a community room with a TV, table tennis and pool tables, computers with internet access and a mini gym.

Each resident is allocated a key worker who will assist them in developing an action plan to help them get their life back on the right course and moving towards a positive future. 

The team offer support in a variety of areas such as:

  • Life skills
  • Money management
  • Employability training
  • Careers advice
  • Drug & alcohol awareness
  • Counselling
  • Arts & music sessions
  • Health and nutrition advice
  • Residential trips
