Mavesyn Ridware parish council are in the process of preparing a neighbourhood plan for their area. This page provides the latest information in terms of their progress.
Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan independent examination
Chris Collison of Planning and Management Ltd was appointed as the independent examiner of the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan. The Independent Examiner issued thier final report on 26 November 2024. The report concludes that, sibject to modification, the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and can proceed to refendum. The district council has issued a decision statement which confirms that subject modifications the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan will now proceed to a referendum in the neighbourhood area. Details of the referendum will be published in due course.
Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan submission
Mavesyn Ridware Parish Council submitted the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan to the district council to undertake consultation prior to the independent examination of the plan. The consultation took place between 12 September and 24 October 2024.

Neighbourhood area designation
The Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood area has been designated, having been approved 16 December 2019.
The parish council provided the following information as part of their application:
- A map of the proposed neighbourhood area and an application letter submitted by them to us.
- Statements on why the area was appropriate for designation and that the organisation making the application was the relevant body.
