There are lots of ways to get involved in the parks and open spaces. From becoming a Friend, to taking part in conservation days, you can give something back to the landscapes you love.

If you are interested in volunteering for our parks – from taking part in conservation work to helping out at park events – please fill in the volunteer initial enquiry form or contact the parks team by calling 01543 308867 or email parks@lichfielddc.gov.uk.

Park Friends Groups

We recognise the huge benefits a local community Friends Groups can have in your parks, where our Parks Team are happy to guide and offer support.

Friends Groups are fantastic to help with;

  • Getting involved in the development of your parks.
  • Get stuck in helping to keep your park clean and tidy.
  • Get moving with weeding, planting and overall improvements.
  • Get active helping to plan activities in your parks
  • Get the thoughts and ideas for your park from your neighbours.

Lichfield Historic Parks and Princes Park, Burntwood and recently formed Burntwood Park already have dedicated Friends Groups, should you wish to join them, or if you would like to discuss creating a Friends Group for your local park contact the team on 01543 308869 or email parks@lichfielddc.gov.uk
