Whilst we try our hardest to empty all streets on time, unfortunately breakdowns, roadworks, badly parked cars, blocked roads, bad weather and crew changes can mean sometimes we may miss some streets - we are sorry if we have missed yours.
We update this page after our crews come back to the depot from their rounds - no later than 5.30pm, Monday - Friday. This is because if our crews can't get into a street (for example due to a blocked car) or they have to tip midway through your street, they may try to return to empty your bin at the end of the day.
If you are worried your bin may not have been emptied today, please check back at 5.30pm on the day of your collection before reporting it.
Current missed streets
Here are the missed streets we’re aware of:
- Canterbury close
- Blythe street
- Bancroft
If your street is listed above, please leave your bin and/or bag out at the kerbside - we aim to return the next working day, but in some cases, it may take up to three working days.
*When no streets are listed above, all our collections are on schedule, we are not aware we have missed any bins, or we have caught up on any bins we missed.
Why might my bin have been missed?
If your street is not listed above, your bin might not have been emptied because it:
- was not out by 6am.
- contained the wrong waste - we will leave a tag on your bin if is contaminated.
- was too heavy - we will leave a tag on your bin if it is too heavy.
- was frozen.
We are sorry but we will not be able to come back to empty it.
How to report a missed bin
If:
- your street is not listed as missed (see above).
- your bin was out on time - we will check our vehicle CCTV to ensure it was out on time.
- your bin was not too heavy and was not contaminated - there was no tag on your bin.
Please report it no earlier than 5.30pm on the day it was supposed to be emptied and no later than midnight on the following day(unless you have an assisted collection).
