You do not need a licence to busk in Lichfield city centre or across the district, but we do ask that all street performers follow our guidance.
Following our guidance will help us to maintain a happy relationship with city centre visitors, residents and workers.
Street performers should:
- keep the volume down on any amplification
- not stay in the same place for more than one hour
- not busk close to any other street performers
- consider the need for access to shops and footpaths
- be reasonable and accept advice from council officers, especially if there has been a complaint
