If you are a local food related business or are planning to set up a food related business in Lichfield District, we offer free thirty-minute phone consultations to provide food safety advice. During the consultations we can offer advice on how to register, what issue to consider, what documentation you need in place and what things you need to think about.
If you need advice on food labelling, weights and measures or food composition, please contact Staffordshire County Council's trading standards team.
Another great source of advice is the Food Standards Agency website. Here you can access advice on a wide range of topics - from contamination and traceability, through to temperature monitoring and vacuum packing. Visit the Food Standards Agency website.
When are appointments available?
Our duty officers are on hand to provide food business advice between 2pm and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday and you can book a half hour slot through this form, either on the hour or half past the hour. Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so if slots are not available it is because they are already booked by another local business. Please book the next available and convenient slot.
Please use this form to book a telephone consultation with our food business team. As part of this form, we will ask you for your email address and telephone number. This is so we can contact you in regards to your request.
