Swinfen Broun Charitable Trust

A charity dedicated to assisting individuals and organisations within Lichfield City. The trust applies the charity funds to help organisations and individuals within the boundaries of the City of Lichfield who qualify for help under the terms of the trust deed. For example, it assists with grants for the provision or maintenance of public halls, meeting places, playing fields, sports facilities, public gardens and public open spaces. Find out more

Lichfield Municipal Charities

Lichfield Municipal Charities comprises twelve Almshouses known as William Lunn’s Homes situated in Stowe Street, Lichfield, which are available for occupation by poor inhabitants of the City of Lichfield. Lichfield Municipal Charities is also dedicated to assisting individuals and organisations within the boundaries of the City of Lichfield who qualify for assistance under the terms of its governing document. The Mary Slater Charity

Over the years and still today The Mary Slater Charity’s purposes have remained the same – to help the people of Lichfield if they need assistance because they are poor and sick.

Applicants must be resident within the boundaries of the City of Lichfield as constituted on the 31 March 1974 or within 2 miles of Lichfield Cathedral, and have physical or mental ill health, and be unable to pay for the items or service that they need themselves. The charity can agree to give assistance in any manner they consider appropriate including, for example, the supply of special foods, medicines, medical comforts, medical surgical appliances, extra bedding and fuel or fund the provision of domestic help and the costs of convalescence. Find out more.
