Voluntary & community sector funding programme - closed until 2027

We are distributing £787,288 over the next three years (2024 - 2027) to fourteen organisations, who are delivering projects and activities that will help to achieve the Lichfield District 2050 strategy goals of creating confident, prosperous, green and active communities.

The organisations we are funding are:

Spark Burntwood

A family and community centre delivering and hosting a wide range of pregnancy, baby, toddler, child, family, adult, wellbeing, financial and SEND groups.  It runs community projects such as a baby bank, community fridge and social action projects.  Visit Spark Burntwood's website 

Burton and District Mind

Provides a programme of activities to support better mental health.  Activities include sports programmes, targeted peer support groups and mindfulness sessions.    Visit Burton and District Mind's website 

Support Staffordshire

Supports Staffordshire communities, individuals and organisations to work in collaboration to bring about positive change in the community.    Visit Support Staffordshire's website 

Grace Cares

Saving care equipment from landfill and making it available to the public, NHS, health and social care providers.  Grace Care also supports the community with a range of monthly sustainable and dementia friendly activities.    Visit Grace Cares website 

Burntwood Be a Friend

Supporting food and financial resilience through a community store which provides food at low prices.  Also supporting emotional health and well-being and overcoming isolation through a men’s and women’s weekly community well-being walk and a community garden for growing vegetables.  Visit Burntwood Be a Friend's website 

Fun Club Hub

Youth provision offering a variety of services including youth clubs, bespoke school programmes, training for young people as well as community events and social action projects.  Visit Fun Club Hub's facebook page 

Men's Shed Lichfield

A community space for men to connect, converse and create. Activities are similar to those of garden sheds or a workshop at the side of the house, but for groups of men to enjoy together. Helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.    Visit Men's Shed website

Fradley Football Club

Lichfield Festival

Survivors of Bereavement By Suicide (SOBS)

Offering peer-to-peer support to those impacted by suicide loss.  Helping those bereaved by suicide to support each other through support groups, online virtual support groups, a national telephone helpline, an online community forum and email support.   Visit the Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide website  

South Staffordshire Cruse Bereavement Support

Helping people experiencing grief through bereavement support including resources on their website, the national helpline as well as group, zoom, telephone or one-to-one in person support sessions.    Visit the Cruse website 

The Hub at St Mary’s

The Hub is a multi-use heritage and arts venue, in the centre of Lichfield, running a community coffee shop, gallery and varied programme of performing arts events.   Visit The Hub at St Mary's Lichfield website
