If you have registered for a postal vote, your pack has now been sent and is on its way to your registered address.

If you haven't had yours yet, and you want a replacement postal vote pack (e.g., you are going on holiday before it will reach you), please email elections@lichfielddc.gov.uk with your name, address, contact details, reason for replacement and an image of a valid photo ID. We will contact you when the replacement is ready to collect, from the council office - please bring your ID with you.

If collecting on behalf of someone else, you will need to provide photo identification for you both, together with a signed letter authorising collection.

The easiest way to return your completed postal vote is in your nearest post box, but you can hand deliver it to the council offices during office hours, or at a polling station on election day. If you hand deliver it, you will need to complete a statutory form - our staff will help you with this, so you may have to wait a short while.

The deadline for new postal applications has now passed, however, if you are taken ill or get an unexpected work commitment which will prevent you from attending the polling station, you can apply for an emergency proxy application - a doctor or your employer will need to support your application.

You must show photo ID to vote at polling stations in the general election on 4 July 2024. Common photo IDs that you can use include:

Passport (this doesn't need to be in date, but it needs to be recent enough to look like you)
Driving licence (including provisional license)
Blue badge
Specific travel cards (such as an older person’s bus pass or disabled person’s bus pass)

Our chief executive, Simon Fletcher, was shortlisted for not one, but two prestigious awards - public and third sector leader and transformational leader in the West Midlands Leadership Awards.

Simon was recognised for "his exceptional leadership, innovative vision, and the positive impact he has created within his organisation and beyond".

Whilst Simon did not win, being shortlisted for these prestigious again shines a light on our organisation's drive and commitment to serve our communities even better now and in the future.
