Governance manager (monitoring officer)
Responsible for the council’s governance functions including the decision-making process including:
- Facilitating the decision-making process
- Montoring officer statutory duties, including the constitution, member conduct and complaints, ensuring fairness in decision-making, ensuring access to information and transparent decision-making
- Reporting and recording decisions
- Maintenance of the forward plan
- Member expenses, renumeration, support and training
- Elections
- Assets of community value
- Community governance and boundary reviews
- Civic events
- Youth Council support
- Support to, and liaison with parish councils
- Road closures
- Rights of way
