Fees
You must be able to pay your fee online at the time of your application.
Details of our current fees are below:

| Licence (new or renew) | £220 | This is the cost of the basic licence. If you are a new driver, or renewing a licence and other items are due you will already have paid for these but the costs are detailed below. |
| DBS Certificate and update service |
£61.64 plus £16 per year (paid direct to the DBS service within 30 days of receiving your certificate) |
You must be signed up to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service. This costs £61.64 for the DBS certificate and a further £16 annually for the update service - which you will pay direct to the DBS service. The update service provides us with any changes to your criminal record which may affect your licence. If you are not signed up to the Update Service, we will charge you £61.64 as part of a renewal application. Once you have submitted your application you will receive instructions on how to apply for the certificate and subscribe to the Update Service. |
In addition you will already have paid, and must be able to provide evidence of the following:

| Medical check | Variable cost | You can use your own GP or an appropriate medical centre to carry out the medical check. You will need to pay for this directly and provide the completed medical form at application. |
| Driving assessment | £87 | You will need to book this course through Blue Lamp Trust and pay the cost at the time of booking. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate at the time of your application. |
| Safeguarding course | £35 | You will need to book this course through Blue Lamp Trust and pay the cost at the time of booking. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate at the time of your application. |
| Disability awareness course | £40 | You will need to book this course through Blue Lamp Trust and pay the cost at the time of booking. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate at the time of your application. |
If you need replacement items there will be a charge to cover our costs. These are detailed below:
