We are appealing to local people who may wish to attend the funeral of a recently deceased man in the city.
Paul Halfpenny, aged 62, lived at Bluebell Court in Rotten Row, Lichfield and died at home on 21 January 2025.
As nobody has been identified to take care of Mr Halfpenny’s funeral arrangements, Lichfield District Council officers have organised a service for him. This will be at Lichfield & District Crematorium in Fradley Lane, Fradley, WS13 8GA at 10.30am on Wednesday 5 March. Mr Halfpenny’s body will then be cremated.
Lichfield District Council Cabinet Member, Councillor Alex Farrell, said:
“We are saddened that Mr Halfpenny has died and that there was no one to arrange his funeral. Unfortunately, we have no photograph of him or information about his life.
“We want to ensure Mr Halfpenny receives a dignified funeral and people who may have known him, and the public, are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday 5 March.”
