If you haven't put your postal vote in a post box yet, and are worried it might not reach us on time, you can deliver it to either the district council house today and tomorrow between 9am and 5pm, or any polling station, between 7am & 10pm tomorrow (4 July 2024).

Please be aware however, that you will have to complete a form if you drop you postal vote off in person, and you can't just leave it or put it through our council house letter box. Filling in a form is a legal requirement and our staff have to ask you to complete it.

You must show photo ID to vote at polling stations in the general election on 4 July 2024. Common photo IDs that you can use include:

Passport (this doesn't need to be in date, but it needs to be recent enough to look like you)
Driving licence (including provisional license)
Blue badge
Specific travel cards (such as an older person’s bus pass or disabled person’s bus pass)

Lichfield District food hygiene inspection results for September 2023 now available

Food hygiene ratings for premises are reported to the public following inspections. — Residents can check the food hygiene rating of every business at the Food Standards Agency website

Lichfield District Council’s Regulation and Enforcement team has released the results of their monthly food hygiene inspections for September.

All food businesses, including those operating from home, are subject to inspection by Lichfield District Council’s environmental health officers at varying frequencies determined by the level of risk to public health.

Officers provide advice and guidance to all food businesses in order to raise standards, and return visits are made to poorer performing businesses sooner. Where necessary, enforcement action is taken. Residents can check the food hygiene rating of every business at the Food Standards Agency website.
