Celebrating the 25th Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park

Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park takes place on Saturday 7 September.

The ever-popular Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park is marking its 25th year in 2024 and everyone is invited to the celebration.

This much-loved concert has become a perennial favourite with thousands of the district’s residents joining fans from far and wide to enjoy a musical and visual extravaganza in our beautiful park.

Free to attend, it’s a perfect family event with live classical music, picnics, drinks and a fireworks finale.

The City of Lichfield Concert Band kicks off the concert. It’s a community wind band featuring 45 musicians of all ages from across the area playing a mixture of popular classical music, medleys, jazz, film scores and pop.

The British Police Symphony Orchestra then treats the audience to a specially arranged selection culminating in the stirring Proms classics such as Pomp & Circumstance by Elgar.

With children’s rides in the fun zone there is entertainment for all ages plus a selection of food stalls if you  would like get your refreshments at the event.
