Organisations that deliver strategic infrastructure to improve people’s lives across Lichfield District are encouraged to bid for funding from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
Applications for funding will only be considered for projects that deliver the following strategic infrastructure needs identified in the district council’s Infrastructure Funding Statement:
- Healthcare
- Transport
- Environment and Biodiversity
- Low Carbon Initiatives/Carbon Investment Fund
Community projects that don’t meet the criteria for strategic CIL funding may still qualify for Neighbourhood CIL funding administered by the district’s parish and borough councils.
Lichfield District Council Cabinet Member, Councillor Alex Farrell, said:
“The Community Infrastructure Levy is an important source of funding for the delivery of new community assets.
“We are inviting applications from organisations looking to fund infrastructure projects that will improve the lives of people living locally.”
If you have a project to put forward for CIL funding please email cil@lichfielddc.gov.uk or call 01543 308192 for more information and to confirm if your project meets the above criteria. The application form can be viewed here. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 22 November at 5pm.
