Join online breakfast briefing for guidance on applying for community funding
Voluntary and community groups making an application for a share of thousands of pounds in funding through Lichfield District Council are invited to join an online breakfast briefing for guidance next week.
The Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Funding Programme 2024-2027 has been launched to help the vital groups that keep Lichfield District functioning.
Through the programme £163,000 is available per year for three years - £489,000 in all - with a minimum award per organisation of £1,000 per year for those successful in applying.
It is unlikely any one organisation will be awarded more than £50,000 per year so that as many as possible can be supported and although all awards will be made across the three-year cycle there is no obligation to submit applications for a full three years of funding.
The first of a two-stage application process requires completion of an online application form (a paper version is available from reception at District Council House in Frog Lane) by 10 November.
Applicants will then be notified if they have been shortlisted for the second stage where they will be invited to complete a questionnaire and project delivery plan.
To support applicants with details on the prospectus and the application process, followed by a brief Q and A session, an informal online breakfast briefing will take place on Teams on Friday 3 November at 10am.
